Lives and works in São Paulo
Marcia Pastore looks deep into how space and sculpture relate in various forms. She exhibited twice at the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center in Rio de Janeiro (1993/2010), at Maria Antonia Cultural Center (2002/2010), once at São Paulo’s Public Health Museum (2000), at the Museum of Contemporary Art (USP) (1990), at the Caixa Cultural de Fortaleza (2012), at Funarte de São Paulo (2012), at Mario de Andrade Library (2015) and MuBE (2017). She had part at important exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art (USP) (1992), the Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo (1990) and Palácio das Artes (BH, 1990). In 1998 and 2000, she participated at Arco International Fair of Contemporary Art in Madrid; in 2004, at the opening of Vestfossen Kunst Laboratorium in Oslo, Norway. Her work may be seen in main collections around Brazil: at Pinacoteca of the State of São Paulo, Pinacoteca Municipal of São Paulo, at The Museum of Contemporary Art of USP, at The Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo and at Figueiredo Ferraz Institute in the city of Ribeirão Preto, in the state of São Paulo.
