Lives and works in Berlin
Jeans Hausmann has works of retrospective character, focusing on the classic European modernism, especially related to modern architecture: Bauhaus, International Style and Brutalism. He studied sculpture at the Dresden Academy of Fine Arts (Hochschule für Bildende Künste Dresden) and took classes with Professor Ralf Kerbach at the same school. Between 1987 and 1990 he worked as an assistant in the studio of a Berlin sculptor, and soon after, with graphic design and illustration. The artist is a free curator and performs at least two collective exhibitions a year, covering various supports: painting, sculpture and photography.
